Intestinal cobalamin malabsorption can be treated with a vitamin B12 supplement, which must be taken for life.
Symptoms
Signs of intestinal cobalamin malabsorption typically appear in the first 3 months of life. Dogs become extremely weak and growth is slow. They may experience vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased white blood cell count. They also can suffer from liver disease and anemia.
