Hemangiosarcoma is a genetic form of cancer in dogs. It causes large, metastasizing tumors. It also affects blood vessels, causing them to break, leak, and rupture. This is a serious cancer and makes up for approximately 5% of canine cancers diagnosed each year.

Symptoms

Signs of hemangiosarcoma include loss of appetite, fatigue, pale gums, weakness, and stability issues. Dogs with the condition often suddenly collapse due to internal bleeding from a ruptured tumor. Life expectancy is typically a few weeks from the time of detection.
