T-zone lymphoma (TZL) is a type of T-cell lymphoma in dogs known for its slow progression. Unlike more aggressive lymphomas, TZL allows for a median survival time of up to several years; chemotherapy generally doesn't improve these outcomes. This type of lymphoma is relatively common, particularly among certain breeds like Golden Retrievers. Dogs with TZL often show no signs of illness, and the condition is frequently discovered incidentally during routine examinations or procedures.
