Osteogenesis imperfecta Beagle type is a genetic disorder affecting Beagles caused by a mutation in the COL1A2 gene. The condition affects a dog’s collagen development, creating highly fragile bones. It’s inherited in the autosomal recessive fashion, meaning both parents must be carriers for a litter to be affected.
