Hypocatalasia, also known as acatalasemia, is a genetic disorder primarily affecting Beagles and American Foxhound dogs. It is caused by a mutation on the CAT gene and affects the performance of catalase. As a result, dogs with this condition can suffer from damage to their soft tissue.
