I discovered my passion for genetics thanks to dogs. Growing up, I helped my dad raise beagles. Now I've been working in animal genetics for more than a decade. I manage the team that conducts the scientific research into pet DNA, which includes meeting lots of lovely dogs to get samples for our database. 
I'm really looking forward to being able to help people learn more about their pets and form a deeper connection.

Leading the creation of Know Your Pet DNA has been an incredible experience. Ancestry® is all about family, and we know that so many people (including me) consider their pets to be an integral part of the family. My beloved dog, Winston, was there when I proposed to my wife, walked down the aisle at our wedding, and has been a playmate for every one of my kids. And he was one of the first dogs to test out our pet DNA kit.

My dog, Lester, is a lovely, cheeky chap who does anything for attention—including undoing zips! He's a poodle, but so many people comment that he doesn't look like one. Being able to have him DNA tested was great, so now I can say with confidence that he is, in fact, 100% poodle—confirmed by scientists.
